Joyce & Bach. Homage to Peter Kubelka

A lecture-performance between experimental cinema, literature, music, and cooking as an art.
Homage to the Viennese film maker and anthropologist of cooking Peter Kubelka.

What do Bach and Joyce have in common? The answer is already given in the title of the event: once Peter Kubelka said that his “two gods” are Johann Sebastian Bach and James Joyce… Following the free associations of our own imaginative paths, we have crossed the work of Joyce and Bach, intertwining it with some major leitmotifs of Kubelka’s work. This event can be understood as an echo of our voyage to Vienna in 2020, when we have visited Peter Kubelka in his apartment, which is at the same time a place to live, a “museum” and a permanent installation.
In the sense of theatrum phonosophicum, a journey is intended as a performative act.
